If you don't already know what this is, just grab it and have a look, it's pretty self-explanatory. :)
Ok I looked at it. Still confused. Is this every comic scanned ever? There are about 33,000 items on this list. That seems low.

"Every comic scanned ever"... literally, no, but for most intents and purposes, yes.
It doesn't list scans that never went through the "official" release channels, obviously, and I don't think it's meant to cover non-English releases at all, and every now and then something simply gets missed, and so on.
The relatively low count, compared with e.g. the release directory I'm maintaining, is due to this one consolidating each series or volume into a single item, as opposed to listing each issue and each release separately. I'd guess that this one represents on the order of a million individual scans, but that doesn't mean much, as it doesn't provide sufficient information to reconstruct that underlying data pool.
